Mr Brandon Hitchcock MBChB FRACS

Brandon gained his undergradate degree at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, completing his MBChB in 1985. After travel and work experience, he then began his surgical training specializing in Otolaryngology, gaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1998.

Brandon undertook a Fellowship year in Glasgow, Scotland where he undertook extensive further training in functional and cosmetic nasal surgery in addition to endoscopic sinus surgery.

Brandon is a consultant Otolaryngologist at the Bay of Plenty District Health Board where he has been practicing since 1999 with an interest in nasal and endoscopic sinus surgery, reconstruction of the face following skin cancer surgery and the management of benign head and neck conditions. Brandon is also involved in clinical research with the Bay of Plenty Clinical School.

In addition to Brandon’s public practice he has been in private practice since 2000 providing the above-mentioned surgery with an additional interest in facial plastic surgery.  His particular interests are in face and neck lifting, otoplasty, rhinoplasty, fat transfer and blepharoplasty.

Sonia Moynan NZRN – Practice Manager/Cosmetic Nurse Specialist

After graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2001 Sonia has undertaken a variety of roles including general, dermatological and theatre nursing. Sonia assists Mr Hitchcock with all cosmetic procedures she works closely with Denise in the running of the clinic and answers all cosmetic enquirys.

Sonia is passionate about the cosmetic industry and runs general nursing and appearance medicine clinics.  In addition she is currently involved in research for the BOP clinical school and is a Surgical Assistant for Da Vinci Robot Limited.

Liz Finn NZRN – Surgical Assistant

Liz has 40 years experience working in operating theatres in New Zealand and overseas. She has worked in a wide range of specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, urology, laparoscopic and ENT surgery. One of her preferred specialties is plastic surgery, which she has done in Hamilton, Whangarei and now in Tauranga. She has assisted with extensive surgical procedures and a variety of cosmetic operations.  Liz has held the role of theatre supervisor in two hospitals.

In 2004, 2006 & 2008 she volunteered in the Pacific Islands in Ophthalmology and educational nursing. Liz currently works at Grace Hospital in Tauranga and privately with Mr Brandon Hitchcock specialising in facial plastics and skin cancer surgery. Liz applies her invaluable nursing experience  with  dedication and commitment, empathy and understanding.

Denise Kilmister – Practice Secretary

Denise is an extremely experienced secretary in the medical industry having worked for a general vascular surgeon for ten years and Mr Hitchcock for nine years.  Denise joined Mr Hitchcock’s practice in 2001 and manages clinic bookings, theatre lists, answering general enquiries, liaising with laboratory, radiology and other medical practitioners.

As someone who has had previous experience of managing her own business for 8 years, Denise brings a wealth of skill and capability to the team. Denise is always more than willing to answer any general enquiries and welcomes the opportunity to assist where needed.
